Reviews
I always enjoy stopping into Red Cat on the weekends (especially during Farmers Market Saturdays) - it's quite busy during that time, but service is always fast despite that, and the coffees and pastries are always well-prepared. Plenty of seating inside and outside combined to allow for a better chance to find one. Service is consistently polite. Def. a great morning spot for Joe lovers IMO.
Stopped by for a quick caffeine kick. The place had a very laid back atmosphere, decor is cute. There were tons of college students studying so the vibe was quiet and calm. I had a caramel latte and my daughter enjoyed a scratch-made pop tart.
I recently visited the Redcat Coffee branch and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and sitting area, which is much better than their other downtown location. They also boast a more extensive selection of coffee beans, adding to the appeal.
However, I have to point out a slight issue with the flat white I ordered. It was steamed to the point where the milk tasted burnt due to the excessive heat. Despite this small hiccup, I still had a pleasant experience overall. Would recommend, but be cautious with the temperature of the milk-based drinks!
I had never been here before but the staff was very fun and upbeat, the atmosphere was chill and comfortable and the espresso was exactly what I needed. When I walked in there was nowhere to sit which told me this is “the” spot in the neighborhood. Spent my morning here doing computer work, I’ll definitely be back! They had great coffee, and I’m an unapologetic west coast coffee snob!
My son took me to this coffee shop. We had mocha macchiato's and they were delicious. The upbeat music is a bit loud but pretty common. There were lots of students posted up with laptops open. The staff was friendly. They offer some food options but we only have coffee. What I loved to see is the diversity of the population in this coffee shop. The only thing I didn't really care for was all the smoke (from
the kitchen, I assume) in the shop.
This is a great coffee shop at Pepper Place. An excellent place to grab a coffee and maybe a breakfast sandwich before getting out into the farmer's market.
I rented The Red Cat at Pepper Place for our rehearsal dinner. It was absolutely perfect. Mike was super easy to work with. All communication was by email. The space was exactly what we wanted. The bride wanted casual, intimate and fun. At the end of the evening she said it was perfect and she wouldn't change a thing. Tre Luna (HIGHLY recommend) was the caterer. Only one glitch...but it all worked out...the owner mistakingly put down the wrong date. But when I say that EVERYONE pivoted on a dime that is not an understatement. It all worked out. Don't hesitate to rent for your event (just make sure to triple check the date :) ).
First time here and definitely not my last. The staff provided great recommendations and great service. I had the Ham and Swiss Croissant & the Caramel Apple Spice Latte. They were both delicious! There were several seasonal drinks on the menu and a variety of breakfast items as well. I love the atmosphere as well with all the windows for the natural light to shine in and also the option of outdoor seating. This coffee shop was quite busy, but I understand why. I am adding The Red Cat to my list of favorite coffee shops in Birmingham. Great place to work or meet up with a friend!
